From the onset playing cards came in boxes that were adorned with beautiful graphics of the ships in the period from 1900 - 1940, afterwards the boxes were fairly plain and contained 2 decks of  cards.

 

After the 1970-s the cards would be packages in simple cardboard boxes with a representation of the back of the card on the outside o f  the box.

JOKERS: From the beginning, most sets came with 2 jokers, since the 1980-s only 1 joker and a bridge scoring card were included in the package. Specialty collectors of joker cards can expect to pay a 30-50% premium for them over the regular playing card.

               1. Same era - trade 1:1

               2. Different eras - trade value for value

 

Values for trading purposes are:

 

               1. Pre 1930 :market value , using recent

                    Ebay prices as guideline

               2. 1930 - 1950: $1.50 each

               3. 1950 -  present: $1.00 each except

                     special  voyage: $2.00 each
